Cutting Fabric

The fabric needs to meet three key requirements: comfort, durability, and functionality.

1. Fabric Selection Standards and Core Materials

1.1 Main Fabric

Generally, polyester-cotton blends, pure cotton, or functional fabrics are used, including:

1.1.1 Polyester-cotton and pure cotton are the basic materials for stroller fabrics, primarily determined by the fiber composition, which determines the inherent properties of the fabric, such as softness, moisture absorption, and breathability.
Polyester-cotton: A blended fabric of polyester (polyester fiber) and cotton, usually with 50%-70% polyester and 30%-50% cotton. It combines the durability of polyester with the comfort of cotton, making it a mainstream choice for stroller fabrics, accounting for approximately 60%.
Pure cotton: 100% cotton fiber fabric. It has excellent skin-friendliness, but is prone to wrinkling, shrinking, and has poor abrasion resistance. It is mostly used in high-end strollers or in situations where comfort is paramount.
1.1.2 Functional fabrics are fabrics with special functions. Through post-processing techniques such as coating, lamination, and optimized weaving structures, they can be given additional properties such as waterproofing, breathability, cushioning, and stain resistance, thus meeting the needs of strollers for outdoor use, long-term use, and easy cleaning. Functional fabrics include 600D Oxford cloth and sandwich mesh fabric.
a. 600D Oxford cloth, accounting for over 80%.
Characteristics:
Density 600×600D, width 150cm, weight 180-220g/m².
Abrasion resistant, abrasion resistance ≥100,000 cycles.
Breathable, breathability ≥5000g/m²·24h.
Wrinkle resistant, stretch recovery rate ≥95%.
Post-processing techniques:
Waterproof, PU coating, water pressure resistance ≥16kPa.
Antibacterial, silver ion impregnation treatment, antibacterial rate ≥99%.
Environmental certification, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification.
b. Sandwich Mesh Fabric
Structure: The upper layer is 210T polyester, the middle layer is PE foam, and the lower layer is 32S cotton yarn, with a total thickness of 3-5mm.
Application: Seat backrest, conforming to GB/T 18885-2020 “Ecological Textiles” standard.

1.2 Functional Accessories

1.2.1 Safety Belt: Five-point nylon webbing, breaking strength ≥1500N, with YKK waterproof buckle.
1.2.2 Sunshade: Taslan four-proof fabric, UV protection UPF 50+, water-repellent, oil-repellent, mildew-proof, light transmittance ≤30%.

2. Fabric Production Process Flow

2.1 Raw Material Pre-treatment

2.1.1 Desizing: Enzymatic desizing method is used to remove starch residue, with a residue amount ≤0.5%.
2.1.2 Scouring: High-temperature and high-pressure scouring to remove grease and impurities, with a residue rate ≤0.3%.

2.2 Weaving and Dyeing

2.2.1 Weaving: Produced on a water-jet loom, warp density 300 threads/10cm, weft density 280 threads/10cm, weaving speed 80m/min.
2.2.2 Dyeing: High-temperature and high-pressure dyeing with disperse dyes, color fastness reaching level 4-5 of ISO 105-A02 standard.

2.3 Finishing Process

2.3.1 Calendering: Temperature 180℃, pressure 20MPa, to improve surface smoothness.
2.3.2 Flame Retardant Treatment: Impregnation with phosphorus-based flame retardant, with an addition amount of approximately 3%, and a continuous burning time ≤2 seconds.
